Nathan A. Gavin

Nathan Gavin is a passionate musician from Faison, North Carolina. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (Instrumental) from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Although his primary instrument is saxophone, you will see him performing as a singer more! His interests in helping and mentoring youth started early as a camper—then later, camp counselor at Camp Lead-Up; a camp for 7th-12th graders based out of Charlotte, NC. His interests in music and being a mentor led to the beginning of his professional career as a high school band and choir teacher at Union High School in Rose Hill, NC. He stayed for some time before coming back to his Alma mater, to work in higher education. Occasionally, you can also see him performing on stage back at his home theater: Sampson Community Theater. He thanks God for his talents, and Kia J. Dunn (fiancé), his family, and friends for always being his support system.
